The Treat Right Foundation (the “Foundation”), is committed to respecting the privacy of Treat Right members and stakeholders. Our privacy policy governs the collection and use of personal information, whether gathered by our staff, from program participants, from website visitors or through correspondence, and it reflects our approach to gathering and disseminating data. Our policy is to only use data collected for purposes that are integral to furthering the mission of Treat Right and agricultural education.

Who We Are

Treat Right Foundation is a nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. All gifts received are tax deducatable as charitable contributions for fedral income tax purposes (EIN 47-5341135, DLN 26053734001225). Donations that are designated specifically for the Treat Right Foundation that do not have a secondary foundation associated are given with the understanding that the Treat Right Foundation has complete control over the use of all donated funds and will be designated to the most urgent project need unless otherwise specified. We strive to ensure your donations make the maximum impact on the principles this foundation was founded upon.

Mailing Lists and Electronic Newsletters

Recipients of e-mails and alerts have the option to unsubscribe from any mailing list. This may be done at the Subscription page or at the bottom of the e-mails. Those who choose to unsubscribe will not receive further mailings from the Organization or the Foundation. Communication preferences for electronic newsletters will be confirmed annually.

Coordination with the Educational Community

Strong, supportive relationships between the Foundation, state associations, state foundations and others in the agricultural education community are critical to our success. Given the importance of these relationships, Treat Right seeks to remain fully aligned with our stakeholders’ privacy concerns. Treat Right will only utilize data provided by members and stakeholders to further the educational mission of Treat Right and agricultural education.

Privacy of Children

Treat Right provides additional privacy protections when children visit the website. We do not knowingly collect, maintain or store personal information from or about children under the age of 13 without a parent’s and/or legal guardian’s consent, except in limited circumstances authorized by law and described in this notice. If you are under the age of 18, please read this privacy policy with a parent or legal guardian. If you are under the age of 13, you must have your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent before collecting any personal information.

In order to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of information collected, Treat Right ensures that appropriate security measures are in place at all physical facilities where data is stored.
